Conventionally, caulk tubes have a rigid nozzle and the caulk begins skinning immediately once applied. A secondary tool is used and multiple passes may be required to finish the bead. Alternatively, there are some commercially available pre-filled tubes that have an applicator tip that is often too large and rigid and the tubes contain a specific caulk. Either of these methods are difficult to tool when working on tight fine profiles and even the smallest nozzle opening on a caulk tube is too large for filling small gaps and cracks.
Our Kleen-Edge Caulk & Tool is unique in providing a clean smooth bead in just one pass. It works with many caulk tubes and with most caulks and sealants. When caulking tight fine profiles, the caulk can be tooled as you go.

Note:  Even when capped, moisture cured caulks and sealants such as most silicones and urethanes continue to cure once opened. Capping slows the cure but will not prevent it.
